By Catholic Online (NEWS CONSORTIUM) | July 1, 2014

Pope Francis has taken the Eternal City to task for its widespread moral decay. Child prostitutes, poverty and busy soup kitchens make the Argentine pontiff question the veracity of his adopted home, which he says, should be a "mirror to the world."

Devotion to the Heart of Jesus reminds us that it is in His Sacred Humanity we find the way to becoming fully human, and the path to ongoing conversion and transformation. The Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary continues our instruction - as well as our invitation - to to respond to the invitations of grace. It reveals to us the interior mystery of the surrendered love of Mary to the God who is love. It began with the "FIAT, her Yes, given to the messenger of the Lord, the Angel.
