Do you get it Karen Finney and E.J. Dionne? It is not "progressive" to try to resolve problems by eliminating a human life! The lie of your brand of political progressivism has been exposed, rejected and dismissed by the Pope whom you think you can use to bolster your political agenda! Also disturbing were words spoken by Rush Limbaugh. His contention, offered on the EIB Network, that some of the words written by Pope Francis were Marxist is reprehensible. Further, his claim that they must have been written by someone else showed a serious lack of the show prep Limbaugh purports to engage in before he opines from his golden microphone at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies.

Prepare the Way for the Lord: Why We Celebrate Advent
By Deacon Keith Fournier | December 2, 2013

This Sunday, Advent begins. In a western culture where the influences of Christian traditions are waning, many ask why we even celebrate Advent. It is helpful to know our Liturgical history in order to explain what we do to those who may inquire. But even more importantly, it can help each of us to enter more fully into the seasonal participation and experience the grace it offers. Over the next four weeks preceding the great celebration of the Nativity of the Lord Jesus, (Christ-Mass), Christians are invited to prepare, to get ready, to make a place for the Lord in our lives and in our homes and to anticipate His coming.

As Advent comes each year, I like to reflect on how I have lived with respect to my life of devotion and service. Am I availing myself of the Sacraments? Am I praying, reading the Scriptures, and spending time in personal formation? Am I becoming the salt and light to the world that I am called to be? The older I get and the crazier the world seems to become, the more I think about His coming, about our hope in Him, and the final resurrection of the body. What you see now is not all there is in the Christian life. Thankfully.

Obama orders closure of Vatican Embassy
By Catholic Online (NEWS CONSORTIUM) | November 27, 2013

It's very hard to deny that the Obama administration isn't fighting a war on Catholics. In his latest move, Obama has ordered the closure of the U.S. embassy to the Vatican away from the Holy See to a more distant compound in Rome, allegedly for "security reasons."

As we give thanks, we discover how to be faithful to our call to continue the redemptive mission of Jesus Christ, Love Incarnate, in an age hungering for the fullness of God's love. Christians are called to take the kernel which lies at the heart of this Holiday and plant it in the field of the world; so that it can bear the fruit which it points toward. We are called to give thanks and we are called to love with the very Love of God in which all human love is revealed and through which all human love is perfected. On Thanksgiving 2013: We Must Become Again a People of Thanksgiving, a People of Love and a People of Light

The return of Christianity to Russia should give us hope for our own Nation as we face the effects of moral relativism, secularism and the growing hostility toward Christianity. I want to suggest something which will raise many eyebrows. Is what is happening in Russia a partial fulfillment of the promised conversion of that Nation? President Putin exchanging icons of Mary with Pope Francis was not simply a mere nicety. Accounts which have surfaced indicate that it was done with reverence and genuine signs of Christian piety. Could this be a part of the promise of Fatima being fulfilled?

Say what you will about the devil - but he's always found out. A British couple has recently discovered that a concealed, almost life-size mural of Henry VIII they discovered in their 16th-century Somerset home holds a mysterious secret. When you turn the mural upside down, the face of Satan is clearly visible!

Guest Opinion: The Laugh-A-Minute Abortion Telethon
By L. Brent Bozell III | November 26, 2013

Pro-life politics begins with the medical fact that the unborn child is a developing human being. It's also a medical fact that said developing human being can be viable as early as 23 weeks. It's the pro-abortion side that is in scientific denial. For them, it's emotional. It's not a baby until the woman decides to exercise her right to "choose" to let it live.

When Political Correctness Passes For Science
By Dr. Frederick Liewehr | November 26, 2013

Our society is so blinded by political correctness, by the compulsory but erroneous and disproven dogma that passes for "knowledge", that we have become incapable of thinking or evaluating arguments. We have replaced rational discussion with jingoism and ad hominum attacks, where cries of "Racist!" or "Homophobe"" substitute for discussion. Subjects are closed; the decisions have been made by the self-anointed, and there is to be no questioning those decisions, no "hate speech" allowed. Political correctness, as taught in our schools and increasingly mandated by our government, is destroying our nation.
