IDEAL CHURCHES OF SCIENTOLOGY
To meet increasing worldwide demand for Scientology services and community initiatives, the Church of Scientology launched a program to transform all Scientology Churches into what Founder L. Ron Hubbard termed “Ideal Organizations.” An Ideal Org is configured to provide the full services of the Scientology religion to its parishioners, while also serving the community with social betterment and outreach programs.
To date, dozens of Ideal Orgs have opened their doors in major cities across four continents, and new ones are dedicated each month.
CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO
More than a thousand Scientologists and their guests from across Canada and the U.S. Great Lakes region gathered on February 9, 2013, to celebrate the opening of the new Church of Scientology of Cambridge, Ontario. Joining Church officials for the dedication ceremony were national and provincial dignitaries.
PADOVA, ITALY
More than 7,000 Scientologists and their guests gathered from across Italy and Europe to celebrate the grand opening of the Church of Scientology Ideal Organization (Ideal Org) of Padova on Saturday, October 27.
TEL AVIV, ISRAEL
On August 21, national and city dignitaries as well as religious leaders joined Scientologists from Israel and 27 nations to celebrate the opening of the new Center of Scientology in Tel Aviv.
LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA
On Saturday, July 28, fifteen hundred Scientologists from across the San Francisco Bay Area gathered to rededicate the Church of Scientology Los Gatos.

Amid a burst of confetti and a flight of balloons, the ribbon was parted on the new Church of Scientology Ideal Organization of Phoenix on Saturday, June 23. More than 1,500 Scientologists, neighbors and dignitaries joined Church officials for the dedication ceremony.

ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
On Saturday, June 2, city and state dignitaries joined thousands of Scientologists in downtown Santa Ana to dedicate the new Church of Scientology of Orange County.
GREATER CINCINNATI
The Church of Scientology Greater Cincinnati celebrated the opening of its expansive new home Saturday, February 25. The inauguration was attended by more than a thousand Scientologists and state, county and city officials.
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA
California’s capital celebrated the grand opening of the new Church of Scientology of Sacramento on Saturday, January 28. The dedication ceremony was attended by more than 2,500 Scientologists, guests and city, state and national officials.
HAMBURG, GERMANY
On January 21, 2012, the Church of Scientology of Hamburg newly opened its doors to the city in a dedication ceremony attended by 1,500 Scientologists, guests and dignitaries. The grand opening marked the culmination of a transformation of the seven-story Church into an Ideal Church of Scientology (Ideal Org) to better meet the needs of Hamburg’s growing Scientology congregation and the community at large.
INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA
5,000 Scientologists, guests and city officials gathered Saturday November 5, for the dedication of an entirely new Church of Scientology and Church of Scientology Community Center. The Church stands in the heart of downtown, at 315 South Market Street, and reflects the growth of a new Scientology congregation amongst these communities.
ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA
Scientologists, guests, state and city officials assembled in downtown St. Paul, Saturday October 22, for the dedication of the new Church of Scientology Twin Cities. The Church stands at 505 Wabasha Street and was formerly home to the Science Museum of Minnesota.
TAMPA, FLORIDA
On Sunday, March 13, 2011, thousands of Scientologists gathered for a Grand Opening ceremony to dedicate the Church of Scientology of Tampa in its new home, the landmark Ybor Square. The new Tampa Church was made necessary by a fourfold growth in Tampa’s Scientology congregation over the past decade.
MOSCOW, RUSSIA
Thousands gathered in Moscow to open the first major Church to open in the Russian Federation. The building stands in the city’s central Garden Ring, just a mile from Red Square.
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA
Thousands of Scientologists, dignitaries and guests from across the nation celebrated a milestone on January 29, 2011—the opening of the first Ideal Scientology Church in Australia.
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
On July 24, 2010, over sixteen hundred Scientologists and their guests packed the street in front of 300 West Harrison in Seattle for the opening of the new Church of Scientology of Washington, a milestone for the congregation formed 54 years ago.
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA
On July 18, 2010, over four thousand Scientologists and their guests packed the street before 35 South Raymond Avenue in the heart of Pasadena’s Old Town, for the grand opening of the new Church of Scientology in the City of Roses.
MEXICO CITY, MEXICO
Seven thousand Scientologists and their guests gathered on July 10, 2010, to celebrate the grand opening of Latin America’s first Ideal Organization of Scientology, located in the heart of Mexico City. The ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion and Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center, Mr. David Miscavige, presided at the historic ceremony, welcoming those in attendance to their new National Organization in this City of Palaces.
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
The world’s first Church of Scientology, formed in 1954, joined the global roster of Ideal Churches of Scientology on April 24, 2010. Six thousand parishioners, guests and Los Angeles-area officials were on hand as Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center and ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, officiated at the ceremony dedicating the new Church.
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA
Traditional African music marked the opening of a new Scientology Life Improvement Centre on March 26, 2010, as one thousand university students, community and government leaders, artists and local Scientologists crowded Station Street in Johannesburg for the dedication.

Nearly 1,000 Scientologists and their guests from across Europe attended the dedication of the Brussels branch of the Churches of Scientology for Europe on January 23, 2010.

Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center and ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, dedicated the new home of the Founding Church of Scientology of Washington, DC, on October 31, 2009, calling the day “historic in every respect.”

On October 24, 2009, the new Church of Scientology of Rome opened in the Casalotti di Boccea district of the Eternal City. More than 6,000 Scientologists and their guests came from across Italy and beyond to celebrate the dedication of this magnificent new Church in its 70,000-square-foot home on 28 acres of parkland.
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE
The opening of the new Church of Scientology and Celebrity Centre Nashville on April 25, 2009, just one mile from “Music Row,” drew Scientologists from across the region. Also on hand were scores of local dignitaries, residents and Hollywood celebrities. Among those who addressed the gathering were Grammy-winning composer and musician Mark Isham and actresses Anne Archer and Jenna Elfman.
DALLAS, TEXAS
The Church of Scientology Dallas, located in Irving at the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, opened its doors April 11, 2009. Mr. David Miscavige’s presence underscored the import of the day.
MALMÖ, SWEDEN
Mr. David Miscavige opened the new European Church of Scientology on April 4, 2009, in the Swedish seacoast city of Malmö. Those in attendance hailed from 32 nations, including Britain, Belgium, France, Germany, Russia, Israel, Iraq and Uganda. They gathered to celebrate a historic day: dedication of the 72,000-square-foot landmark Church of Scientology, acquired, designed, renovated and opened in less than six months.
BERLIN, GERMANY
Scientologists and guests from 31 nations gathered on January 13, 2007, to unveil the new spectacular home of the Church of Scientology Berlin. A recognized architectural landmark in the city’s Charlottenburg District at the corner of Otto-Suhr-Allee and Cauer Street, the six-story glass and steel structure includes an extensive audiovisual public information center on Scientology beliefs and practices, its Founder L. Ron Hubbard and the Church’s secular community outreach programs combating drug abuse, illiteracy, criminality, immorality and human rights violations.
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
The United Kingdom’s Church of Scientology, standing on Queen Victoria Street in the cultural epicenter of London, drew more than 3,000 Scientologists, London citizens and dignitaries from every continent to its October 2006 opening. The dedication of the new Church by Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center and ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, marked the significance of the occasion.
NEW YORK
The Church of Scientology in New York City, located just off Times Square, was a gift from the International Association of Scientologists to the people of New York in recognition of their courage and spirit in the face of the 2001 World Trade Center disaster.
MADRID, SPAIN
In September 2004, the National Church of Scientology opened in the heart of Madrid, with 6,000 assembling to celebrate the new Church. Once the seat of religious suppression, Spain now welcomed Scientology to the nation, with dignitaries from religion, law and human rights all proclaiming Scientology as the hope for their country.
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
On November 29, 2003, Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center and ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, officially opened the doors of the new Church of Scientology of San Francisco. Addressing 2,500 Scientologists and guests, Mr. Miscavige dedicated the restored landmark Transamerica Building, in the heart of downtown San Francisco, to a new era of spiritual activity.
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA
Dedicating the first Ideal Church of Scientology on the African continent, Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center and ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, addressed South African Scientologists and honored guests at the opening of the new Church of Scientology of Johannesburg on November 2, 2003.
