The Vatican has permanently removed a controversial bishop from his diocese, bringing an end to the career of the infamous "Bishop of Bling" who spent millions of euros on his private residence.

Dear brothers and sisters, Blessed John Paul II reminded us that, "man is called to a fullness of life which far exceeds the dimensions of his earthly existence, because it consists in sharing the very life of God."[4] The sexual intimacy of marriage, the most intimate kind of human friendship, is a pathway to sharing in God's own life. It is a pathway to the fullness of our own human life; it is a means of participating in the incredible love of God. Contraception impedes our share in God's creative love. And thus it impedes our joy.

The real issue before the U.S. Supreme Court in Hobby Lobby is a Government compelled and funded form of abortion. The willful killing of human embryonic persons through inserted devices or ingested chemicals is embryocidal. This is what is really before the U.S. Supreme Court. The family who owns Hobby Lobby, David and Barbara Green, are practicing evangelical Christians committed to protecting all human life. They refuse to provide the poison or the instruments which can kill in the name of health care. They know that medical science confirms what their faith and conscience has affirmed, human life begins at conception. As a Catholic Christian, I stand in complete solidarity with them. So should every Catholic reading this article.

Radical Catholicism: The Table Turning Jesus
By Fr Dwight Longenecker | March 27, 2014

Pope Francis has been called a reforming Pope, but the Spirit of reform is always present in the church. Every good pope has been a reforming pope in one way or another. This is as it should be for Christ calls his church to a constant and frequent reform. To put it another way, the church, and every one of the baptized are called to constant conversion. Jesus doesn't come simply to turn over the tables in the temple, or the Jewish religion of his day. He also comes to turn over the tables of complacency, self righteousness, greed and compromise in the Catholic Church today, and in my own life.

Why Politicians Don't Understand Ideology
By Deal W. Hudson | March 27, 2014

Make no mistake, the National Women's History Museum will use its historic account of women's "equal rights" to glorify and propagate the abortion movement with all the bad arguments that have been used to justify it. There are far too many Americans who reject this narrative of the American woman, and Rep. Eric Cantor should know that. It will take informed, articulate women to keep this museum from being funded: Leaders such as Penny Nance, president of Concerned Women of America, or Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, and Lila Rose, president of Live Action, can make the kind of arguments the men in Congress must listen to.

We have witnessed an ominous trend in the United States. Classical, faithful Christians who uphold the unbroken teaching of the Church and the scriptures concerning the dignity of every human life and the truth concerning marriage as solely between one man and one woman and formative of family, are being squeezed out of commerce.

Fr. Peter M. J. Stravinskas on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord
By Rev. Peter M. J. Stravinskas, Ph.D., S.T.D. | March 25, 2014

As we think back on how the greatest event in human history occurred, we stand in awe of the fact that the omnipotent God wanted and awaited human cooperation. God the Father made His plan for our salvation contingent on a human being's saying "yes". And so, Our Lady stands as a constant reminder of the great things that can happen when the human person cooperates with the divine initiative.

The Annunciation of the Lord to Mary and the Meaning of Life
By Deacon Keith Fournier | March 25, 2014

What came about in bodily form in Mary, the fullness of the godhead shining through Christ in the Blessed Virgin, takes place in a similar way in every soul that has been made pure. The Lord does not come in bodily form, for ´we no longer know Christ according to the flesh´, but He dwells in us spiritually and the Father takes up His abode with Him, the Gospel tells us. In this way the child Jesus is born in each of us.- Gregory of Nyssa

A Few Choice Words for Beyonce: Stop It Already
By Jennifer Hartline | March 23, 2014

You are a prodigal daughter squandering every good gift God has given you, beginning with the dignity of being His daughter. You were not made to spew forth trash into the world. Your talents were not given you so that you could profane them and yourself, and certainly not so you could get rich flinging dung.
